Healthy Study Lifestyle

Okay, so maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a major factor in determining your physical and mental performance at school and it’s something that no one really thinks about. Sleeping and eating well isn’t really one of your concerns when you are stressing over exams or assessments. Here are a few tips to help you stay alive and happy during your studies:

  1. 1You should all know by now that the average teen needs at least 8 hrs of sleep to maintain normal body development and sustain a healthy metabolism. But what you may not know is that sleeping early and waking up early will have more benefits that crashing at 12am because you’ve been ‘Facebooking’ all night. The most beneficial bodily process occur between 10-12am so the best option is to go to bed around 10, and get up early for extra studying time or just so you aren’t in a rush getting to school.
  2. Don’t sit in front of your computer for more than 2 hrs at a time, take a 10 minute break in between and go breathe some fresh air. Computer radiation damages your skin as well as your eyes. It also leaves you feeling de-energised. If youre making your study notes on the computer maybe also try to use paper every once in a while.
  3. Eat well. Chips and lollies are NOT healthy study snacks. Nuts (perhaps salted), dried fruits and rice crackers however boring will be a much better option. Your brain just wants to munch on something so why not munch on healthy snacks instead?

Those are the 3 major things you guys need to be aware of and if you take care of yourself well enough, youll always have the energy to keep succeeding.
